The Wealth Management Certification - Advance has been accredited by the National Institute of Securities Markets (NiSM) under Regulation 7(2) of the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013.

The Wealth Management Certification - Advance is designed to develop and nurture a cadre of qualified private wealth managers and advisors.The objective of the program is to focus on professional portfolio construction for clients, based on a top down approach of asset allocation. Technical knowledge of macroeconomic cycles, market dynamics, risk-return trade off and asset allocation is critical for private wealth managers. They are required to build wealth for investors through a robust process that links financial assets and financial goals.

Wealth Management Certification - Advance is an intensive program running over 45 days that has the power to qualitatively alter financial advice and its practice, by bringing in a robust knowledge framework for the profession. CIEL's wealth management certifications have been offered since 2007 to professionals employed in investment advice, relationship management, wealth advice and private banking roles.

Leading banks, broking houses and mutual funds have made this program mandatory for identified employees.

    Key Facts

    The registration for Wealth Management - Advance is valid for 2 years from the date of activation.

    The Wealth Management - Advance program has a 2-hour exam. The exam is in 2 parts, comprising of objective-type questions and caselet-based questions. The exam is for 100 marks and duration is 2 hrs. There is no negative marking.

    The pass mark is 60%. Wealth Management - Advance exams are held on a quarterly basis on pre-decided dates as published here,  at NSE-IT Test centres across 200 locations.

    Candidates automatically become a member* of the Ciel Learning Foundation, with effect from the date of issue of their Wealth Management – Advance Certificate. The membership is valid for 1 year from the date of issue of your certificate. Members of the Foundation have to adhere to a code of conduct, appended herewith. Certificants will have to pay a membership fee of Rs 1000/- inclusive of taxes annually. The membership fees are waived off for the first year, after the certificant clears the WM-Advance exam.

    Wealth Management Certification Renewal

    Your Wealth Management Certification - Advance has to be renewed each year. To renew you have to complete the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements with 8 credits for this year. The Wealth Management Certification (Advance Level) has been accredited by the National Institute of Securities Markets (NiSM) under Regulation 7(2) of the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013. As per Regulation 7(2) of the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013, only those with a valid certificate are considered to have complied with the certification requirements.

    You can claim 8 credits for your CPE requirements in two ways:

    1. Recertification mode: Take a recertification assessment of 50 marks.Please click here to register for recertification assessment.
    2. Knowledge enhancement mode: Subscribe and complete one online course from CIEL's online course library for WM Advance CPE credits. To view and subscribe to the online course library for WM Advance CPE credits please click here.

    Instructions for Recertification mode:

    1. Passing cut-off for recertification assessment is 50%.
    2. Certificate will be renewed for a period of one year from the date of expiry of the existing certificate, only once the candidate passes the examination.
    3. If the candidate is unable to pass the examination, he may take a re-attempt of the examination by completing the same procedure. Alternatively, he/she can choose to opt for the Knowledge enhancement mode.

    Instructions for Knowledge enhancement mode:

    1. The candidate must subscribe and complete all modules and quizzes of the chosen course to be eligible for renewal of certificate within a period of one month of subscribing to the course.
    2. If one course was chosen in a particular year for CPE, the candidate cannot choose the same course for the next year for CPE.
